Warranty Policy
Raptor Plant Machinery

Raptor Plant Machinery offers a 12-month Parts-Only Warranty on all machines, subject to the terms outlined below.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy covers every purchase made from Raptor Plant Machinery or its authorised resellers. We distinguish between two types of customers:

Private Consumers – individuals buying for personal use, outside of any business activity.

Business Customers – those purchasing for trade, business, or professional purposes.

The rights and obligations under this warranty differ depending on your customer category.

A. PRIVATE CONSUMERS

2. What Is Covered

The warranty protects against manufacturing defects in non-wearing parts of the machine. It applies to parts supplied with new machines bought directly from us or our authorised dealers.

Please note: This is a parts-only warranty. It does not include labour, fitting, servicing, travel, or any other associated costs unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Warranty Duration

Coverage lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase. You must be able to provide valid proof of purchase (such as an invoice or receipt) when making a claim.

4. Your Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not replace or limit them in any way.

5. What Is Not Covered

The warranty will not apply in cases of:

Abuse or overloading (for example, exceeding the machine’s designed capacity).

Neglect or poor maintenance (such as failing to follow the service schedule, using incorrect lubricants, or stale fuel).

Accidental damage caused by improper handling or operation.

Misuse – operating the machine for anything other than its intended purpose.

Normal wear and tear of consumable or wearing parts.

Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or fitting of non-genuine parts.

Damage from external factors such as fire, flood, theft, collision, or improper storage.

6. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Our preferred solution is to supply the necessary replacement parts free of charge for you to fit yourself.

If you are unable or unwilling to install the parts:

You will need to return the machine to us for inspection and repair.

You are responsible for the cost of returning the machine to our premises, unless we have agreed otherwise.

We can arrange collection on your behalf where practical, subject to the following requirements:
The machine must be securely packaged (ideally in its original packaging).
All fuel, oils, and fluids must be completely drained.
Palletised items must be safely secured.
The machine must be accessible roadside on a hard surface between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm on a mutually agreed weekday.

Failed collection attempts caused by non-compliance may result in additional charges.

7. Inspection Process

Once we receive the machine, we will inspect it to assess the claim.

If the fault is covered by the warranty, we will repair or replace the defective part at no charge.

If the issue is not covered, we will provide a quotation for any repair work before proceeding.

Any return delivery costs must be paid before the machine is sent back to you.

B. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

8. What Is Covered (Business)

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in non-wearing parts on machines purchased for business use. It applies to parts supplied with new machines bought directly from Raptor Plant Machinery or our authorised resellers.

This remains a parts-only warranty. Labour, installation, servicing, transport, downtime, loss of profit, or any consequential losses are excluded unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the repair.

9. Warranty Duration (Business)

Coverage lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase. Valid proof of purchase is required for all claims.

10. What Is Not Covered (Business)

The warranty does not cover:

Abuse, overloading, or use beyond the machine’s specified capacity.

Neglect, inadequate maintenance, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals.

Accidental or operational damage.

Misuse or operation outside the machine’s intended purpose.

Normal wear and tear of any parts.

Unauthorised repairs, alterations, or use of non-genuine spare parts.

Damage resulting from external causes (fire, flood, theft, collision, improper storage, etc.).

11. How to Make a Warranty Claim (Business)

The standard remedy is the supply of replacement parts free of charge.

The customer is expected to fit the parts themselves where reasonably practical.

If return of the machine is required, the Business Customer is fully responsible for all shipping costs (both to us and the return delivery).

Collection can be arranged by us subject to the same packaging, draining of fluids, and access requirements listed in section 6 above. Failed collections due to non-compliance will incur charges.

We will inspect the returned machine promptly. Covered defects will be repaired or replaced at no charge for the parts. Non-covered issues will require a quotation before any work begins.

12. No Consequential Loss

Under no circumstances will Raptor Plant Machinery be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of production, profit, or business interruption) arising from a warranty claim or machine defect.

13. Non-Transferable Warranty

The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not cover second-hand, used, or ex-demo machines unless specifically agreed at the time of sale.

14. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies exclusively to non-wearing parts, except where otherwise specified in the product’s documentation.

15. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update or amend this policy at any time. However, such changes will not apply retrospectively to valid claims already in progress.

16. Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
